“Your direct bridge to where you’re going,
and to what you need in getting there.”
Investrend is very pleased to be presenting this,
first in a series of articles about the “next generation”
Investrend. It certainly isn’t news to anyone that we are in a
time of significant changes, challenges and opportunities. In
fact, it’s probably fair to say we’re in the midst of
transitioning toward a “next generation world”. And, certainly,
the financial world is a prominent (if not the prominent)
focal point of the fluid situation in which we find ourselves.
Also, it’s not a new revelation that we, in the
financial community, have had to discover ways to adapt to the
changing landscape we all share. The purpose of this series of
articles is to clarify the ways Investrend is answering the call
for solutions. As you will see, today’s Investrend is here to
support you, by serving as a bridge from where you are, to where
you intend to go. Our business is your business. For financial
professionals, service and resource providers, we’re here to
help create opportunities and growth, and maximize your
business’ potential. For shareholders, investors and consumers,
we’re here to bring you the most relevant, useful and reliable
information and resources. For all, we’re here to be your
advocate, and help your voice be heard. |
Part One -- Investrend’s Mission: To
serve the financial community.
The first consideration of our mission is to
serve. The overriding emphasis is placed on service. Our efforts
and resources are dedicated to providing information and
communications that are meaningful and useful to anyone with an
interest -- regardless of their degree of involvement, or their
level of knowledge -- in the financial world. And our
information and communications platforms are supported by a
framework that has the sophistication, intuitiveness and
adaptability necessary to accommodate the diversity and dynamics
of today’s financial landscape.
Our commitment to service is guided by always
keeping in mind who we are serving: the financial community. And
the emphasis here is placed first and foremost on the community
aspect. The financial community is the sum of its parts, and all
of those parts need to be taken into account if it is going to
be well-served. Especially in today’s economic and Market
environment, “Main Street” and “Wall Street” are realizing -- as
well as actualizing -- the underlying relationship that has
always existed between the two. More mutual attention is being
paid, and the lines of communication are more open, than ever
before.
In addition, a time of growing social
consciousness and insistence on both individual and corporate
responsibility, and accountability, is taking place right now.
Main Street is gaining a greater appreciation for the value and
importance of good governance and transparency in business. Wall
Street is recognizing and acknowledging the dangers of a purely
bottom-line driven mentality. And, perhaps most amazingly of
all, a new “eco-economic” landscape is taking shape before our
eyes -- a landscape in which profitability and sustainability go
hand-in-hand. So, the concept of community -- financial or
otherwise -- is becoming more relevant, as we experience the
effects that one “part” of the community can have on the whole
community.
Investrend’s compass -- our gauge for staying
on-track, and assessing how well we’re accomplishing our mission
-- comes from avoiding our mission’s opposites: disservice and
isolationism. For example, it would be a disservice to
shareholders and investors if we were to engage in stock
promotions, or misleading disclosure practices. Or, it would be
a disservice to public companies to facilitate stock financings
that only benefit those receiving the company’s stock. And it
would be a disservice to financial professionals if Investrend
sought to exploit relationships, rather than collaborate toward
creating synergy and mutual opportunity.
That’s what Investrend doesn’t do. What
Investrend does, is provide reliable information, full up-front
disclosures and source references, insightful intelligence
vehicles, fundamentally-based analytics, a well cultivated
network of strong partnerships with proficient partners, a
dynamic array of platforms and programs allowing public
companies to represent themselves with effectiveness and
integrity, vehicles and systems for standards-based financial
professionals to maximize their potential, advocacy initiatives
(in support of consumers, investors and “smaller” companies
alike), over twelve years of experience in basically every
integral and supporting facet of the stock market, and the
ability to deliver any message or published material to any
specific audience or to the entire financial community.
